COVID-19 CoronavirusCoronavirus

CamAlarms Ltd is closely monitoring the evolution of the Coronavirus situation in the UK and following advice given by Public Health England (PHE), the NHS and the Foreign & Commonwealth Office.

With the outbreak of COVID-19 Coronavirus spreading to an increasing number of new countries, it is important that we take sensible precautions to ensure we can minimise the virus spreading further and impacting our places of work.
CamAlarms is regularly updating staff on the situation and giving direction on necessary precautions to take, whilst carrying out their day to day activities. All staff have been briefed on symptoms to be aware of.

We expect all of our colleagues, clients, contractors and suppliers to follow the government guidelines, these can be viewed using this link: Guidelines

There is currently no requirement for staff to work from home, however CamAlarms is facilitating key office-based staff with IT equipment so employees can work from home, should they need to self-isolate. In addition, we partner with Southern Monitoring who can provide cover for us, in emergency situations. This monitoring station has taken stringent internal measures to ensure the continued operation of the monitoring station and, as a precaution all their staff have been banned from attendance to other business’s, to maintain a high level of coverage.

We have suspended any prearranged engineering team meetings, and these will be managed through skype and other technologies. Site escorts may be required if our engineers attend sites where clients/ customers have specific site restrictions in place.

Visiting our premises:

  • Please do not visit our office or site if you feel unwell or have any symptoms.
  • Please do not visit our office or site if you have recently been at risk of being in contact with someone or somewhere that is of high risk.
  • If this doesn’t apply to you and you are planning a visit to our office in the near future, please ensure that you do not shake hands and use hand sanitiser upon entry and departure.
  • We also would like to reinforce the use of Skype for business as an alternative meeting solution, if you need more information please let us know.

We have experienced minimal business impact currently, however, we are keeping abreast of an ever-changing situation. We have been in contact with our managed contractors, to ensure they are aware of and follow the actions within, CamAlarms Coronavirus statement.

CamAlarms is constantly evaluating the situation and monitoring any potential knock on effects to our Service provision and will try to mitigate via alternative plans where necessary.

CamAlarms will provide updates as the situation evolves.
